pk is a chiglish word.
come up from a game term"player kill".
the term pk is popularized by one famous show"super girls".
meaning of pk, I think, almost equals "competition".
so, today's pk is a kind of competition, about how to dress, make ourselves fashion.
shopping voucher:does it fit to be used to describe something which customers can use as money for shopping?

An unusual day
Last month, I knew there would be a "pk of dressing" in Square Danlu from newspaper. Players won't be asked to pay for participation, and allowed to try cloth of Square Danlu. It's a free game, and winner can get shopping voucher of 1000(RMB), so, I phoned to join.
They informed me to Square Danlu this afternoon.
When I got there later than requested, the pk still havn't begun. Just as I thought, there aren't very much people applied for this pk, almost one hour later than planned, finally gathered 3 groups(4 pp) of players.
Then , show began.
1:Players entered, showed ourselves, introduced, pick up a draw for dressing topic.
2:Selected clothing and dressed up for about 10+ mins.
3:Showed, illustrated our topic & our dressing principle.
4:Scored, then sister and I failed together.
Unfair!It's unfair. I cried out in my heart.
Why can't we pass through?Somebody else is not so shinning as us but they still get through. This pk isn't organized well, many things are orderless, and judges are not so professional, they stated and behaved in bundle of contradictions. (conflicting in opinions)
We were fooled!
ps:though not an important show, still have I a little nervous. I will behave braver by way of making public.

I went to Longqiyuan with my coworkers on Nov. 6th.
That week there is a sport game of our college. So hardly have we freed from courses. It occurred to my boss to go to suburb.

A Sphinx is a zoomorphic mythological figure which is depicted as a recumbent lion with a human head. It has its origins in sculpted figures of Old Kingdom Egypt, to which the ancient Greeks applied their own name for a female monster, the "strangler", an archaic figure of Greek mythology. Similar creatures appear throughout South and South-East Asia, and the sphinx enjoyed a major revival in European decorative art from the Renaissance onwards.
The Western name "Sphinx" was given to it in antiquity based on the legendary Greek creature with the body of a lion and the head of a woman, though Egyptian sphinxes have the head of a man. The ancient Greek term itself is postulated to be a corruption of the ancient Egyptian Shesep-ankh. In Greek mythology, the Sphinx sat outside of Thebes and asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. If the traveler failed to solve the riddle, then the Sphinx killed him/her. And if the traveler answered the riddle correctly, then the Sphinx would destroy herself. The riddle:
What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?
Oedipus solved the riddle, and the Sphinx destroyed herself.
The solution: A man, who crawls on all fours as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and walks with a cane in old age.
Of course morning, noon, and night are metaphors for the times in a man's (person's) life. Such metaphors are common in riddles. There were two Thebes, apparently this Thebes was the one in Greece. And this Sphinx was apparently not the one at Giza, in Egypt.

An artist asked the gallery owner if there had been any interest in his paintings currently on display.
"I've got good news and bad news,"
the owner replied.
"The good news is that a gentleman inquired about your work and wondered if it would appreciate in value after your death.
When I told him it would, he bought all fifteen of your paintings.
"That's wonderful!" the artist exclaimed,
"What's the bad news?".
With concern, the gallery owner replied,
"The guy was your doctor."

Long time ago it was very popular to open a blog to record anything special or even normal of one's life or other's lives.
But I didn't.
Because I'm not a fashion-chaser,ever.
and very because I'm so lazy , so , so ,so lazy that I'm not able to insist on doing anything.
especially writing!
so, admiring every writer.
But now, I finally decide to build a blog for ......
haha. two reasons:
1. I'm a learner-------english, german, japanese, literature, chemistry.......
build an english blog will help me keep learning.

2. my husband-------Finally(hehe, another "finally", I always think it's not simply, it's so amazing, it's owed to fate.) I married to a guy whom I love so much, and now I miss him very much.
